Jon Krieger
Jon is pursuing his MBA degree in Operations Management and Finance at Baruch. He is a native New Yorker with five years experience in Hospitality Management. Jon led the front office at the Hotel Giraffe, consistently rated among the top ten hotels in New York on TripAdvisor.com. Jon started green initiatives at Baruch. His team made it to the final round of KPMG’s 2010 Living Green Campus Case competition, and planed to build a vegetable garden on Baruch’s campus. Beyond sustainability issues, Jon has always had an interest in aviation and is a licensed private pilot.

Dave Goodman
Dave obtained his MBA in Statistics at Baruch and is also the Chief Financial Officer of Incentives for Global Health. He has managed research in cognitive neuroscience at Columbia University’s Center for the Decision Sciences and worked as a research analyst at D.E. Shaw & Co. Prior to his career in research, Dave spent over ten years as a management consultant to leading multi-national corporations, guiding executives on technology infrastructure and knowledge management strategies. Dave is interested in the neural foundations for ethical behavior and novel approaches to behavioral economics and social investment. He has a degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University.

Emily Rottela
Emily Rotella obtained her MBA in Operations Management as a part-time student at Baruch while she worked full-time at Random House book publishers. Emily also served on the GSA as the Academic Affairs officer as part of her commitment to enhancing the academic experience for all Baruch graduate students. Emily led the SBC panel, The Bottom Line: The Crossover Between Corporate and Social Ventures.

Dipti Patil
Dipti obtained her MBA in Finance and Computer Information systems at Baruch. She has worked in the Information technology arena for over five years. Her interests lie in sustainable causes and she is a strong believer in recycling. She used this platform to bring awareness that was aimed at the sustainability movment in particular.

Danial Rushton
Danial is a recovering online advertiser who has been interested in sustainability for many years. He was studying sustainable business at Baruch in order to help incorporate his passion for sustainability into his work life. He has also worked for several years in the field of education, including a year spent teaching in Spain. In his spare time he tries to spend as much time behind a drumset as he can.

Anna Hurley
Anna was studying finance and marketing in the Honors MBA program at Baruch College. Building upon her experience as a project manager for film and design projects spanning from Pratt and BAM to PBS, Anna promoted sustainability initiatives the world over. For nearly a decade she has been involved with Brooklyn’s food and alternative-sports communities including the Brooklyn Food Coalition, and Gotham Girls Roller Derby League. She is currently an advisor to Boswyck Farms, a hydroponic-farm in Bushwick.

Anelisa Lauri-VP, Programming
Anelisa has spent her entire career in the retail industry as a buyer for Macys. She is driven to help with key social causes such as woman’s empowerment, and recycling. Fun fact: She is a huge fan of Glee! and meets with her friends every week for dinner to enjoy the show.

Tim Woodall
Tim has been studying and working on various sustainability issues since the mid-90s, and currently works as a Junior Strategist for Addison advising companies on strategy and design for their annual sustainability reports. His prior experience includes working with institutional investors on climate change at Ceres, starting two community gardens in Boston, advising a green building consulting firm, and working on a capital campaign for The Nature Conservancy. He has an MBA from Baruch College, and a BA in environmental studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. If you’re still reading this, you’ll also discover that Tim isn’t particularly fond of cooked broccoli.

Devon MacKAY
Devon MacKAY, currently Director of Sales and Events for NHLC Catering in New Haven, CT, is a Baruch MBA alumna (’09) and former President of Baruch’s Sustainable Business Club (at that time, simply Net Impact). Prior to graduation, she coordinated special events at the Yale Center for British Art and worked as a Marketing Associate with Market New Haven, the City’s marketing and public relations arm. She regards her time at Baruch as incredible opportunity to connect her passion for social justice with social enterprise, and meet incredible like-minded businessmen and women.

Pamela Bolton
As head of Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tubeculosis and Malaria’s Knowledge, Evaluation and Performance (KEP) activities worldwide, Pam Bolton’s mission is to lead and structure GBC’s efforts to disseminate expertise, stimulate innovation and boost performance in the corporate response to HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria.
Pam previously served as Director for Francophone Africa at Family Care International, an NGO dedicated to improving sexual and reproductive health and rights in developing countries, with an integral focus on HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care. Prior to her work at Family Care International, Pam spent eight years at EngenderHealth, where she held both direct program management responsibilities and technical advisory positions focused on research and evaluation. Pam gained greater appreciation for the interplay between public health, corporate citizenship and core business interests while working in Pfizer’s Worldwide Public Affairs & Policy division, where she contributed to the design and development of Mobilize Against Malaria, Pfizer’s five-year program to fight malaria in Kenya, Ghana and Senegal.
Pam holds a Master of Business Administration from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College in New York, where she founded the Baruch chapter of Net Impact and was president of the Corporate Responsibility, Ethics and Governance Association. She also holds a Master of Health Science in Maternal & Child Health from Johns Hopkins University and Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University.

Ashok Kamal
Ashok is a social entrepreneur who graduated from Baruch College’s Honors MBA program in New York City. While at Baruch, he served as Co-President of the Sustainable Business Club, Baruch’s graduate Net Impact chapter.
During his undergraduate studies at Boston University, Ashok helped launch a socially-conscious independent entertainment company, Raptivism Records. The success of the record label led him to New York City, where he also became involved in youth development through working at Directions For Our Youth. After transitioning full-time into the nonprofit sector, Ashok joined the executive ranks and earned a master’s in Nonprofit Management from Milano The New School. While developing an interest in philanthropic capital markets, Ashok entered business school to strengthen his technical skills. During the summer of 2009, he interned at KLD Research & Analytics, the pioneering sell-side research firm for socially responsible investors, and worked on Newsweek magazine’s inaugural Green Rankings issue. During the fall of 2009, Ashok studied abroad at the Indian Institute of Management, India’s premier business school. In 2010, Ashok received the graduate student Briloff Prize in Ethics from Baruch College and was awarded Third Prize in Cornell University’s Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise Base of the Pyramid Narrative Competition. His other writings on sustainability and clean technology have been published on Reuters and the leading green blogs. Ashok is the Co-Founder and CEO of Bennu, a socially responsible product development and marketing company that completes the recycling loop (www.bennuworld.com).

Sayaka Eto
Sayaka is a native of Japan and graduate of the Honors MBA program at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Communication at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. After completion of the degree, she worked as a Production Manager at a printing firm where she utilized her knowledge in graphics and built her experience in small business management. At Zicklin, Sayaka majored in Marketing with a focus on visual communications. She interned at the Department of Small Business Services of New York City and was also VP Marketing of Zicklin’s Net Impact chapter. In 2009, Sayaka co-founded Bennu to apply her skills to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Kevin Ng
Kevin earned his MBA from the Honors Program at Baruch College, where he majored in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. He previously graduated from Pace University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and has over 8 years of banking and international trade experience working for companies such as Bank of America and Coutinho and Ferrostaal Inc. Kevin has performed numerous roles in financial analysis, accounting and treasury/cash management. In addition, he formed two businesses in the automobile service industry in his hometown of Houston, TX. Kevin’s 2009 MBA summer internship involved conducting research on corporate social responsibility for the renowned Sethi International Center for Corporate Accountability. Upon graduation from business school, Kevin became CFO of Bennu, a social enterprise he co-founded in 2009 with two former SBC colleagues. Kevin is originally from Houston, Texas and supports the local area chapter of the American Red Cross through volunteer efforts whenever he is in the town.

Celine Ruben-Salama, Project Manager for the Office of Environmental Responsibility, American Express
Celine Ruben-Salama is a business strategist focused on efficiency, new media, technology, and environmental sustainability. She currently works for American Express where she is responsible for global policy-setting, implementation and communications in the area of environmental responsibility.
Previous private sector clients include Deutsche Bank, Citigroup, and Discovery Communications. Her public sector clients include the United Nations, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA Region 2), The Earth Institute, and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
In addition, Celine has been a contributing writer for treehugger.com, the world’s largest online green lifestyle magazine. Her writing has also been published in Consilience, the Journal of Sustainable Development, as well as on Yahoo Green, Inhabitat.com, and Ecogeek.org.
Celine holds a Masters of Public Administration Environmental Science and Policy (MPA ESP) from Columbia University, and an MBA from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, CUNY. She is a Wallenberg Fellow, and recipient of merit-based scholarships from the Swedish-American and Scandinavian-American Foundations among others.

Daniella Leifer
Daniella Leifer graduated from the flex-time MBA program at Baruch in 2010 and was a founding member of the Sustainable Business Club, where she participated in various efforts to promote visibility and awareness of sustainability on campus through club events, speakers, and launching a successful club e-newsletter. She holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from Cornell University, and is currently the Manager of Training & Compliance at the CUNY Institute for Urban Systems Building Performance Lab where she works on a range of projects aimed at furthering the energy efficiency skills, knowledge & technological capability of the NYC real estate industry workforce.

Jonah Cooperman
Jonah Cooperman is a marketing and business development manager with ten years of combined experience. Jonah is currently consulting for Solar Marketing Group, a marketing and strategy agency serving the Solar and clean tech space. Areas of expertise include online marketing campaigns, product development, change management, branding, and key performance indicators for strategic planning. With a particular focus in digital media, Jonah has developed cost effective and powerful means of delivering targeted messages to audiences ranging from billion dollar corporations to startup companies.
Key industry experience includes marine transportation, tourism and entertainment, clean-tech, broadcast media and strategic consulting. Jonah served as the marketing director for New York Cruise Lines; an international tourism and entertainment company severing over 1.2 million customers per year. As a senior consultant for CoopermanWeiss LLC, Jonah produced research, analysis and strategy for investment and acquisition of biofuel producers by the world’s largest marine transportation company. As a producer for Color LLC, Jonah participated from day one in the commercial construction and operation of a boutique post-production facility in the heart of New York City. His clients included Fortune 100 companies and top advertising agencies.
Jonah received his MBA from Baruch College in Manhattan and his undergraduate in History from Boston College.
